Agadatantra or visha chikitsa, also known as toxicology branch of Ayurveda , is one of the eight branches of Ayurveda which includes the description of two types of poison, the natural (poisons from animals and plants) and the artificial poison and the various methods of treatments for eliminating toxins from the body. A part from this, it is also describes negative effects in the body. The subject also covers a wide area of forensic science and medical jurisprudence. .
